ITW Inc created ITW GSE Group by acquiring and combining some of the world best-names of aircraft ground service equipments. Hobart Ground Power has been supplying power units to US Air Force since 1946, and it was merged into ITW in 1980. In 2000, Trilectron and Air-A-Plane became ITW entities, and later AXA Power ApS of Denmark was brought into the group. In 2002 and 2005, J&B Aviation of US and Houchin Aerospace of UK were respectively acquired. At present, ITW GSE Group consists of above six best-known brands in the industry, together with its established ITW Military GSE, one of the most reputable manufacturers and suppliers in military aviation in the US.
The very first product of ITW GSE Group that came into China was a Hobart Engine Drive in 1972. When the then US President Richard Nixon first visited China, a Hobart Engine Drive Unit was brought in with the Air force One, in order to support this aircraft. When the President’sAircraft left China, this unit was donated to CAAC Beijing, which set a milestone and had paved the way for ITW GSE Group to China.
Power Coil:Different with the complicated commissioning and maintenance of traditional 400 Hz Power Ground Units, Power Coil combined power unit and cable into a whole set. With excellent performance of saving space, labour and product cost, and simple operation etc, Power Coil products has now about 200 sets spreading all over the world since it was put into market in 2006 and received high appraisal of the clients.
